Danielle started her career as a nurse in 1980 and went on to practice as a School Nurse Health Visitor and Director in nursing and human resources before leaving the NHS after 24 years to set up her own business. She has a real passion for public service and is a stickler for quality and putting people who need care and support at the heart of everything that health and social care professionals do.
Danielle has established a number of 'social purpose' organisations which deliver health and/or social care services. As a Director of Sunflowers Care, Danielle's role is to help Karen and Lucy to build the organisation and to make sure it operates as a sustainable public service business which is successful because it delivers excellent care to individuals and those who buy health and social care support on their behalf.
Danielle is a mum of four grown up children and is currently a nanny to three lovely little girls. She is happiest in her wellington boots, growing food for her family in her large dinner garden and tending to the flower beds.
